Would you take $300 for both shipped to 30041?

Thanks for the note. Please let me know if you change your mind.

I have both and usually keep the LN164 set up with about a 50 degree bevel so it cuts at just over 60 degrees.  Yes, I also know how to set up my cap irons for bevel down and they work quite well.  But sometimes, it's just easier to quit fiddling with the microscopic changes in cap-iron setback and just get things done on a piece of cantankerous wood.

$185 is a fair price for the LN164!

Is it the picture or the bottom of 164 really has deep scratches?

I ask because sometimes pictures exaggerate small things, other times don't show them much.

I do not consider them deep scratches, but everyone has different opinions of shallow and deep. Here are some additional photos with different camera angles after I cleaned it up a little better with a scuff pad.  My advice to anyone that is concerned about the scratches on the sole is to not buy this one so we both are happy at the end of the day. It is an excellent user plane, but I would not recommend it for display in your trophy case.

Two excellent planes especially for the price. The 62 is one of my favorites to use. I do the final flattenings on the end grain maple butcher block boards I make with mine.
