WTB ~5in Deep Miter box saw - smance - 09-24-2016 The other post on the miter box got me thinking... I picked up what looks to be (I think) a Stanley 358 miter box from an antique store a while back. I've been using a long miter saw with it, but the teeth are basically in line with the bottom of the guides and I'm afraid it is dulling the teeth. Looking for a long miter saw with a taller plate, maybe 5in or so. Would be ideal if pre-sharpened, but would also be interested in a fixer upper to save money if not too worse for the wear and would clean up well. Pm if you might have something. Images are great too. RE: WTB ~5in Deep Miter box saw - ron kanter - 09-25-2016 I have an older Stanley miter box saw. Not sure of age. The blade plus the back is 5". Blade ~4" below the back, straight, and cuts well. No beauty queen but a good user. Let me know if you are interested. |
