HANDTOOLS:Crispy, and I mean Crispy, PreWar #5C - Admiral - 10-14-2016 Here's one of the nicest corregated jack planes I've ever come across; its a Type 16 #5C, rosewood is excellent, 98%++ japanning, all oringinal, iron stamped "440" dating the plane to precisely the fourth quarter of 1940, sole excellent as well as the mouth, full iron, metal 100%, zero apologies on this one, if it had a box it would be collector quality. I squared off the iron and did a quick sharpening on the Tormek, and ground the chipbreaker too, it performs as it should. It can be yours for $50 plus shipping, pics: Pics continued (limit is 5, don't know why....????) First PM with an unequivocal "I'll take it" gets priority; I don't have paypal, so payment by USPS money order please, if I know you then a check is ok with me, and please include with your PM the shipping address so I can figure postage. This is a really, really nice example of a #5, and to boot, its corregated and precisely dated. You won't be sorry. If you've got a hankering for one of these, don't hesitate as I have a feeling it will go pretty quickly, so pull the trigger. Thanks for looking. RE: HANDTOOLS:Crispy, and I mean Crispy, PreWar #5C - SteveF - 10-14-2016 That's a beauty! RE: HANDTOOLS:Crispy, and I mean Crispy, PreWar #5C - Kansas City Fireslayer - 10-14-2016 Indeed it is. Well worth the money when you consider the price of beater number fives. It's getting hard to find planes in such nice condition. RE: HANDTOOLS:Crispy, and I mean Crispy, PreWar #5C - Admiral - 10-14-2016 Plane is sold. Thanks to all for looking. RE: HANDTOOLS:Crispy, and I mean Crispy, PreWar #5C - Snipe Hunter - 10-15-2016 I was wondering how long that would take. Somebody got a nice one. |
