A whatsit - Boatman53 - 11-02-2016

Got this awhile ago when I was cleaning out a basement and have no idea what it does. I'm thinking something for leather work but that is just a guess. I'm curious what everyone here thinks.

The initials are 'W&E'

The blade with the cutting edge is uppermost in these two photos.

Looks like a really old window screen spline cutter to me.

It's definitely not for leatherwork.

A lefthanded can opener?

A sheet metal nibbler?

Spaghetti pasta maker.

Mr Google says that W&E sales company has made automotive hand tools and fasteners for over 70 years. Perhaps this tool is made for stripping out auto window gaskets.

Looks like an adjustable trimming tool / cutter for leather, rugs, or upholstery.  Perhaps used in the auto interior trim shops.
