Chuck size on braces - overland - 11-15-2016 I bought a Woodowl auger bit but it won't fit in either of my braces (or my hand drill). The shank is 7/16" in diameter. Are there some braces that will accommodate a shank that big? RE: Chuck size on braces - Bill_Houghton - 11-15-2016 A breast drill with a 1/2" chuck will accept that, but whether you could generate the needed torque - don't know. RE: Chuck size on braces - Jason28 - 11-15-2016 I've got 3 10" braces, and they all fit the Woodowls - Stanley 923, Yankee 2101, and Millers Falls with a hold-all chuck (I forget the model number). So yes, there are many braces that fit the Woodowls. |
