There are times I wish the belt was longer and bigger drums but 95% of the time I love having it. I got it because I couldn't fit 2 machines in my shop to do the same work.
I believe it works as designed.

The Grizzly has a 3.5 amp motor and weighs 27 lbs.
The Ridgid has a 5 amp motor and weighs 40 lbs.
I'm very happy with my Ridgid.

Triton, Shop Fox, and Wood River look like triplets in the "offset spindle" and shield-shaped table category, too.
