From the first time I got a Plane to 'sing' - C. in Indy - 02-15-2017 This goes back quite a few years. I had got something like a Corsair cheapo Bailey-pattern plane from the antique mall, and got it working again, scary sharp. I remember using that plane to slick-up the bandsawn pieces on this model-car I built from scratch. It's still a conversation piece in our TV room: As well it should be. Way cool! Tony RE: From the first time I got a Plane to 'sing' - Paul-in-Plymouth - 02-15-2017 Way cool is right. Way cool, and then some. Very nice. Thanks for posting the pic. RE: From the first time I got a Plane to 'sing' - Bibliophile 13 - 02-16-2017 That looks great. It's made of what, at least four different wood species? RE: From the first time I got a Plane to 'sing' - C. in Indy - 02-16-2017 Thanks! Yes, the species are different but have tended to blend a bit closer over the years: Roof, Bumpers, etc: Padauk Headlights, etc.: Myrtle Body & Wheels: Walnut Fenders: Cherry Grille: Zebrawood. That car is terrific, and the use of zebrawood as the grill was a stroke of genius. 10/10, sir. RE: From the first time I got a Plane to 'sing' - daddo - 02-17-2017 Nice job!
