No Wood Wasted Here - Bill Holt - 02-25-2017 Like my dad, I hold on to things. Several years ago I bought 2 of the Rockler Universal "T" Slot Kits. Just could not toss the clear plastic packing tubes . Today I used one to re-create a Droll Yankees 6 port bird feeder. Re-purposing sure does feel good. To cut and drill the plastic, I turned a cut off to slide inside the tube then the rest was breeze. RE: No Wood Wasted Here - Stwood_ - 02-25-2017 Yep. I've got those tubes from Peachtree. Also have cardboard mailing tubes from ordering piano hinges. Gotta be a use for them........somehow...... ![]() RE: No Wood Wasted Here - Robert Adams - 02-26-2017 I save those too. If you need t buy one they are very expensive... We used to have a place that made paper tubes here and I never could find a need to buy long tubes. But doesnt matter now as they closed shortly after the fireworks factory had one last big display on site. They did not rebuild.... |
