(SOLD) Early 1800s Moulding Plane - L KENNEDY Straight Rebate/Shoulder Plane - JQuacker - 03-01-2017 SOLD Cleaned with RLO/TURP/ACV, fed with BLO, waxed with Alfie Shine. Iron has been ground square with the plane, lapped, and sharpened to 8000 grit. The shavings are from walnut. Pulls a long, thin shaving, showing flatness. Hanging hole, owners marks, and some chipping here and there show a well-loved plane. Flat rebate plane with the left side enclosed. Useful for cleaning up joints, trimming shoulders & tenons, and other such operations. Iron imprinted with "Green" on it. Leonard Kennedy, Sr. made planes in Hartford, Connecticut, from ca. 1797-1830. This particular stamp (B) is marked frequently found. $40 + shipping (should be around $8-10) if not local (Atlanta).
