Want to Trade for Lathe Centers - Michael A. T. - 03-04-2017

I am looking for some of these lathe centers.I am wanting to work out some kind of trade if possible.I have extra good turning tools that I have been used very little.    Just shoot me an email if you have something like this or something similar. Thanks!!!

The link was good this morning but now it isnt. The type of centers Im looking for have steps on the drive and live centers. The steps are different sizes ( at least 3/4",7/8" 1", It would be good to have the 1/16" between each size also ) on both centers to fit the different sizes of flutes a flute maker would make.

Michael

This is the first time I have seen these and I am thinking many other turners hear as well have not seen them.

For me there are a lot cheaper ones that I like better then the ones you shown and thinking they are used for a single purpose.

Arlin

Also you might want to post this in the turning forum also.

They are centers designed esp for flute makers. The different sizes would fit the different bore sizes a flute maker makes. If anyone knows of a similar center please send me a link or some info.

The Best Wood Tools folks make a small faceplate that screws onto the OneWay live center.

You can use that to make your own jam chuck(s) for the inside of the flute.

The system works well and gives you lots of options.

Being stepped with several different sizes would just be convenient and work good for the flute maker that makes flutes with different size bores
