WTB: My first rip hand saw, T&G plane(s) - thauburger - 03-27-2017 Hi all, I'm looking to do a Dutch Toolchest build, and want to try the whole thing by hand for the first time. Looking for a user rip hand saw (usable right away, but not so nice that I can't learn to sharpen on it . Also looking for a T&G plane (or matched wooden planes) to do the tongue and grove back panel of the chest. The project uses 3/4" stock, so something that centers (approximately) on that would be awesome. I believe Chris Schwarz uses a No. 48 Stanley in the build for reference. Let me know if you have any users laying around looking to get back in the game! Thanks, Tom |
