RE: Drawer Slides for Dresser - David G - 07-16-2017

Every dresser / drawer project uses Blum undermount slides with 3way adjustments.  Works with either inset or overlay drawers.  Easy to install and super easy to adjust.  The only downsides are the slide cost and the slide weiight.  A nine drawer dresser gets pretty heavy with Blum slides.  On solid wood frames, fix the slide front and put screws in the slotted rear holes to allow a little expansion.  I usually design so that the slide sets on a cross frame piece front and back.  For some reason, the slide front always needs about 3/32" vertical shim piece.
