Photobucket - iublue - 10-23-2017
Am I getting this correctly, now I can't link photos to here unless I pay $400 a year???
I tried linking a photo and it said I had to upgrade.
I tried to post the photo the same was I always did or am I doing something wrong?

Yes you are getting it correctly.

You upload and attach pictures onto Woodnet directly now though. Use the "attachment" feature, and that gives the option to embed the pictures in your post.

every time someone posts something like that about not having problems with posting from PB, the pics go poof. Or maybe they wised up after everyone quit using them, who knows?

There are too many free alternatives, I'm using postimage after someone here suggested it. But you can also load your pics directly into the forum...though I think you have to downsize the images a little. there must be some kind of quirk when using Google images, I couldn't get it to work consistently.

If pics are less than 1000mb in either total of many pics in one post, or just one pic they have an add attachment thing here at the bottom of every page after you hit "reply" I am finding that putting pics on a drive either in, or attached to my computer I can smack down several pics in much less time than I ever could using photobucket. I found it to be quite intuitive, but if you try it and have issues feel free to PM me on how to do it.
4 steps
1) you find the pick on your drive, and "choose file"
2) you "add attachment"
3) You "insert into post"
4) enter text or whatever around your pic, and hit "post reply"
I'll never host pics again as long as they do this, you could lose valuable memories using a host service. I have always, and always will kept my own files, even when I used a host. You can buy 2Tb drives for 50 bux these days, that is a LOT of pics, post them on mopre than one drive, and you can always back them up again should a drive act up.

This little pic is only 28.2kb, so 1000Mb pic is pretty defined, and kinda large. The auto sizing software will likely knock it down a bit so they fit to the page

And then once it's been viewed xyz times, it will say something like "You have reached your limit - please upgrade your account to allow linking", and your pictures will be blocked.
A quick resize with your favourite photo program and uploading to WN means the pictures stay on the WN server, no matter what changes at the remote hosting site.

That's not just your problem. I have quite a few on PB, though I also have them on my computers. I wish I had a way to nuke my account at PB and delete everything...I'm guessing such an option doesn't exist.
