Vinyl Siding block, other than white or grey - Cecil - 11-10-2017

I would like to add an electric outlet outside.  I would like to use a blue vinyl siding block, preferably one with the electric box built in.  I would like it in blue.  Does anyone know where I would look for such a thing.  I checked the BORG style stores and Amazon.

Menards has them in a bunch of colors. If you don't have one local....you could buy online....or check a local building supplier (where contractors buy siding and roofing from)

We had our old house with red siding....and plenty of them on there. ABC Supply is where it all came from.

If all else fails, Krylon does make a paint especially for plastic, and they claim it adheres to PVC. It comes in rattle cans and brush formulas.

I did find a vinyl block which they claim is paintable.  Matching the color from a premix rattle can is not likely, so I could use a complementary color, like hot pink :-)

When they put new siding on my house, I needed 2 electric box blocks and 2 light blocks. Unfortunately, the electric blocks did not work with my exterior boxes. I went to a local siding company and they were out of stock but suggested another supplier. They had many colors to choose from. I got what I needed. I suggest that you contact a siding company and ask about material suppliers in your area.

Good luck.

A lot of my suppliers offer products from Mid-America. Here's a link: http://www.midamericacomponents.com/mount-blocks-vents

Use a rattle can of plastic primer to get the adhesion and then paint it the color of your choice.

If you can't find an off-the-shelf color match, you can get Sherwin-Williams to color match with an acrylic paint.

Or you can find a car with the perfect color match and get a match from Dupli-color.
