Steelex, is that a Griz cousin? Griz with similar specs and the Griz is way less than other closest competition. That Steelex is on the Grizzly webpage for $10 less than with unknown shipping charges and straight knife head. RE: PSA: 8" Helical Steelex Jointer - $1000 - Steve N - 12-01-2017 Yeah Shop fox is the Griz line that is sold through a series of dealers, rather than Griz which comes from one of two central locations, and almost always requires truck freight. Shop fox also does have some embellishments to the cabinet as you noted on the 8" jointer, but the meat and taters are usually very close. I missed the Steelex tools on the Griz pages evidently. Looks like a great tool, if it is using the same parts as the Griz. I have that Jointer in the Griz line, and couldn't be happier with it's performance.
