RE: This years ornaments - Phil Thien - 12-11-2017 Are they supposed to look like the bulbs we used on trees fifty years ago? Because they do. Either way, very kewl. RE: This years ornaments - chips ahoy - 12-12-2017 They look like the real deal, job well done. Mel RE: This years ornaments - Woodshop - 12-12-2017 nicely done RE: This years ornaments - Dusty Workshop - 12-12-2017 Very nice indeed. What was the topcoat that you were spraying? I think that I recall a few years ago that you were making spectraply ornaments, and the profits were going towards your teardrop trailer fund. Did you get your trailer? RE: This years ornaments - Arlin Eastman - 12-14-2017 Anthony A few questions When you were putting in the color in a bowl were you mixing two colors? Also were you spraying was it lacquer or shellac? Also wondering if I did it I could mix color and shellac at the same time which will both add color and seal it in or is that not a good idea. Also thinking I could use a lot of small branches to do the same thing off of different trees? RE: This years ornaments - Gary G™ - 12-15-2017 Good work. RE: This years ornaments - AnthonyYak - 12-16-2017 Thanks all Arlin, the color is dye and the finish is Deft lacquer. I don't think you can tint it with what I use RE: This years ornaments - Dusty Workshop - 12-17-2017 Did you get your trailer? |
