My panel glue up table top - Stwood_ - 01-19-2018

is about used up I think. 10-15 years of gluing up door panels has filled it in with a lot of glue.

Time to make a new one I think. It's close to an inch deep in the middle.
Wonder how hot the old one will burn in the woodstove?

Wow

Someone here has the tag line "you are not your post count".
But I think you could get extra credit for your glue droppings.
In some circles, it could be "high art".

When I first looked at the photos, I thought that was carpeting and couldn't figure out why you'd put carpet on a glue-up top.  Then Ag's comment made me look again.  Wow that is amazing.  I'll even bet you used to clean the glue droppings off it.

If you like the setup I'd attack it with a wide chisel and mallet and knock most of it off and start over
Wink

Or a belt sander on slow speed and 40 grit belt.

Got an air chisel? That might make quick work of it.

That bottom board is 1/2 chipboard, and may not survive the chisel.

I can probably build a new one in less time.
