RE: Daily Bench Shot - ®smpr_fi_mac® - 12-03-2018 Yup, for template routing. I cut the first one close to the line then sanded to it with an oscillating spindle sander. Then traced onto the second one, cut close to the line, then taped the two together. Flush cut bit in the router made quick work of a near-perfect, FASTER, shaping. I need to make six more now that this one got (enthusiastically!) approved by the dance teacher/director. RE: Daily Bench Shot - Stwood_ - 12-04-2018 [attachment=14819] RE: Daily Bench Shot - K. L. McReynolds - 12-05-2018 Christmas presents. Trays for eating/whatever. One of the drunken design and one checkerboard will go to England. Will have maple handles. [attachment=14833] [attachment=14832] RE: Daily Bench Shot - Redman - 12-06-2018 Very nice whatever boards. I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one that can't find the floor in my work area. RE: Daily Bench Shot - Redman - 12-06-2018 Setting up drill press to c'bore, drill and c'sink some shelving. The piece drilled is a set up piece to check the set up before drilling the good wood. Naturally some changes had to be made. Son was kind enough to bring 2 more guns for repair, from another framer friend. [attachment=14854] RE: Daily Bench Shot - Stwood_ - 12-06-2018 (12-05-2018, 05:57 PM)K. They are fun to make, and popular. [attachment=14855] RE: Daily Bench Shot - Redman - 12-06-2018 (12-06-2018, 05:04 PM)Stwood_ Wrote: Is that a C-man fence on your drill press? I kinda like that one. Yes, came with the C-man mortising chisel set I mentioned in another thread. Fence itself is OK, setting it up can be a PITA because of the T-slots on the table and the provided T-nuts and bolts. Problem I had with the set up was the chuck hit the fence before desired depth of hole was reached, therefore the chunk of wood under the work piece, which caused an adjustment to the fence. |
