favorite Woodworkers on YouTube? - budglo - 02-07-2018 I recently created icons on desktop for shortcuts to King's Fine Woodworking and Jay Bates (recommended by someone here). I like their style of doing projects and explaining the sequential steps involved -- what to do and what NOT to do. I'd like to see your list of favorites, of craftsmanship. It's frustrating searching the Internet and finding mostly videos from guys who shouldn't have exposed their lack of talent. Thanks for your input. Jerry RE: favorite Woodworkers on YouTube? - WoodcraftKevin - 02-07-2018 Chris Salomone at Four Eyes makes beautiful videos and shop projects although I don't think the project directions are as in depth as Jay's. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1V-DYqsaj764uBis9-UDug Kyle Toth is another favorite of mine. Again, not as much direction but he makes beautiful pieces and his videos are very entertaining. https://www.youtube.com/user/HomedepotKt/featured RE: favorite Woodworkers on YouTube? - Duane N - 02-07-2018 Chris Salomone SimpleCove Kings Fine Woodworking Jay Bates Brian Benham Ishitani Furniture Matthew Cremona Dustin Penner The Wood Whisperer Frank Howarth Just to name a few. When he talks you realize he is not not a samurai he is not even Japanese. I'll add DIY Tyler because I am using his designs now to build my dust collection system. Jimmy Diresta Nick Ferry John Peters David Stanton RE: favorite Woodworkers on YouTube? - AgGEM - 02-07-2018 Curtis Buchanan Thomas Johnson Renaissance Woodworker ( think he is a woodnetter too). Norm I know Norm does not post on You Tube, but his work is there to see. Andy Rawls Tom Fidgen Wood by Wright April Wilkerson Philip Morley "Home Made Modern" "Modern Builds" "Dusty Splinters" Chris Salamone Paul Sellers Kyle Toth Laura Kampf There are many many more. It's a great time to be a woodworker / maker. RE: favorite Woodworkers on YouTube? - KingwoodFan1989 - 02-07-2018 I'm not a very avid watcher of woodworking Youtube vids, but here are a few that come to mind: Marc Spagnuolo (aka The Wood Whisperer) Doucette and Wolfe Furniture Matt Cremona Andy Rawls Rob Cosman Jay Bates Charles Neil Of course, these are more on TV and DVD than on Youtube, but Norm Abram and David Marks are two guys that belong in the "can't afford to miss" category. RE: favorite Woodworkers on YouTube? - budglo - 02-09-2018 Thanks for your recommendations guys. I've scanned several of the vids and find them really good. It's sure to cause me to spend more time watching good woodworkers than making sawdust myself. Jerry RE: favorite Woodworkers on YouTube? - JimDaddyO - 02-11-2018 If you like old time hand work try Mr. Chickadee. If you like 18th century period work try David Boeff. |
