Hand saw FS: Disston D-8 crosscut - RickW - 02-10-2018
Here is a nice Disston 26" crosscut saw for your consideration.
It is a 26" Disston D-8. It is a 7 point, filed with about 15 degrees of back rake and 20 degrees side bevel.
The blade is straight, with some discoloration and pitting. The etch is pretty clear. The handle was cracked, but has been glued and is solid and smooth. It is discolored where it was taped together.
I've tested it, and it cuts and tracks straight.
I've found a 7 point crosscut saw very useful in crosscutting thick hardwoods.
