I have ordered from them before, when Lee Valley didn't have what I needed.
I turned to them again for box top chains. First thing, I ordered a kit. The package includes the 7-1/2 inch brass chain, two brass swivel mounts and four screws... $15.99..
the shipping was $5.99. (LV has kits, 12" & 18")I was getting ready to head back out to my shop when it hit me...
. ... I should have ordered two of those kits, I had another box that needs one. I called customer service and the nice girl who answered, pulled up the order, and added the extra kit. I asked about shipping. It bumps up to $7.99. You are just four dollars or so from free shipping, she adds. Add another kit. For half price, basically, by eliminating shipping, I'll have the kit on hand the next time I need one. I got an email the next day with tracking info... your package will arrive on wednesday the 28th.
It was in today's mail.

Ordered from Rockler once, 2 pre-made cabinet doors, good service, no issues.
Then it started.......catalog after catalog after catalog, wash rinse, repeat for 5 years.........kept waiting for one to say "This may be your last catalog"........

They've got some good ol' Midwest 'nice' customer service, assuming their customer service in the same location as their HQ. I recently got a first time quote from Walzcraft in WI. Another great customer service experience.
