If you've watched the PBS special ALONE IN THE WILDERNESS, the story of Dick Proenneke's life in the Alaskan wilderness, you may be interested in this video.
The library in Donnellson, Iowa has built an exhibit, complete with replica log cabin, that commemorates Dick's life. One of many subjects covered in this video is the building of the replica cabin and the tools that Dick used to build the original.

I watched a you tube video last year where someone was visiting the cabin recently (don't remember the time frame). Everything seemed as it was as Dick left it.
