Stanley No. 1 SOLD - Tom Wiarda - 12-10-2018

I have decided to sell my Number 1. It is in very good condition and is 100% original as found in an old tool chest. The wood tote and knob have no damage and still have the original finish. There is the expected toolbox wear with minor scrapes and scratches to the finish. The blade is full length with a sweetheart logo. The body of the plane has a natural patina from being almost 100 years old but there is no rust or pitting. The plane has not been heavily cleaned. The price is $900 with free shipping and insurance. Payment by PayPal (friends and family), bank cashiers check or other certified funds. Let me know if you have questions or need more pictures. Thanks for looking.

Are you serious?

RE: Stanley No. 1 - David Katz - 12-10-2018

Your seriously not going to do a "Friends and Family" Paypal exchange on a $900 sale, are you? That's theft, pure-and-simple.

RE: Stanley No. 1 - Tom Wiarda - 12-10-2018

You are right. Delete the PayPal reference. I will use the certified funds only. I’m sorry for that.

Yes

It's the one we all want to find at a yard sale because we can't afford to buy one from somebody who knows how rare it is. Kind of like hunting unicorns.

The Stanley #1 have been priced at around $1,000 for twenty years..They don't seem to go up or down in price...Kinda strange...I have no idea why.
