Cute design; crude workmanship, $5,200.00 - Cooler - 01-02-2019

I think the design is fun.  It looks like something that could be made in a weekend.  It looks like cheap fir plywood (patches on the surface).  Probably 1/2" thick and just glue.  It might be subflooring. The workmanship on the trim is appalling.

I might scale up the photo and make one myself.  Wine bottles are about 12" tall, so this cow is a little over 4 feet tall.  It probably ships in three sections (front; midsection and hind quarters).

$5,200.00 from Wayfair (free shipping).

$5,865.00 here (but with better photos):  https://tictail.com/eyeshutisland/cow-furniture-seletti-marcantonio-raimondi-malerba-eyeshutisland-eye-shut-island-designshop-stockholm

I found a site that lists the actual sizes:

225 cm long (88½")
58 cm deep (22.85")
151" high (59.44")

Good work if you can get it.

If only the neck hinged out and moo'd at you, like those fish on the wall advertised on low rated TV from a few years back.

I'll bet the next one they sell is the first.

The tail must cost extra.

Must be made for a tiny house, with attached tiny barn.

In capitalism, one is free to ask what they wish for their product, and a buyer has the choice to buy or move on. I cant imagine there are many buyers anywhere near that price point. If so, more power to them.

Unlikely an original design as I have seen something similar (picture wine rack) for storing bottles of wine.

Being a Wayfair product, it is largely for consumers who know little about craftsmanship.
