Exterior Cedar finish? - DaveBozeman - 01-11-2019

I'm looking for an exterior cedar finish for some chairs.  I'd really like one as clear as possible.  The last one I used really left a yellowish tone to the chairs

any suggestions?

tia.. Dave

Behlen makes a Water-white Restoration Varnish, which is a spar varnish. You might want to thin the first couple coats to soak into and protect the soft cedar.

Thank you.. I didn't even look at water based finishes.

That Behlen is hard to find.. I think I'll try one of the water based ones

I used a Minwax water base finish.. it looks exactly like I wanted.. darkened the decar just a tad, but no yellowish cast.. perfect.. thank you
