Just saw this on the Nashville, TN craigslist. It seems a little pricey but I don't know what a new Shelix cutter head goes for, either. BTW I have no association with the seller.

The planer goes anywhere from $550 to $600 and the cutterhead for around $350 to $400 so that's about right for a new one. I would go ahead and buy one from a dealer to make sure the warranty was valid.

I just bought the 735x off of ebay from a tool store and with the 15% off coupon, it was $511 with free shipping. I have seen the byrd heads for under $400. For that price, I would go with a new one and get a warranty.
