Believe it or not, I kept the old TV in a closet that rested on this stand. Dang thing still operates flawlessly. I also kept the pull-out stand. I really have a hard time throwing away furniture projects that I build in the shop.
Here's another drawing I made to illustrate how to cut octagonal stock from square stock for lathe turning. The idea is to make an octagonal cross section to reduce turning time and chip waste:

After I retired I bought BricsCAD 12 which was a very comfortable step from Auto Cad of the time. It's far less money (lifetime license), just as good if not better than ACAD. And, no AutoDesk virusware. Don't worry, they are quite compatible dwg-files (both ways).
