The air is swirling around and out of the rib in the duct. Use silicon caulk and seal the rib at the exit and inward about one wrap. Let the caulk set up before re-attaching. Works for me. Maybe it will work for you.

A blob of hot melt glue. If you ever need to remove it, spray with alcohol and it will pop right off.
