This was supposed to be a stepstool - Mike Brady - 04-24-2019

I just made this little stool for the kitchen pantry to allow my wife to reach the upper cabinets.  When my grandson arrived today he immediately spied it and now it's a desk and/or chair.  There has been a big board of 14" wide white pine in my stash, and it allowed me to have two sides without joined panels, plus the steps.  It was a fun rainy day project.

Nice, Mike. Your customer looks pleased with it, too.

As big as he is already, he'll get too big for it soon. Then your wife can have her step stool back.

It looks great btw.

Before you know it, it will be a step stool for him too.

And a great project on which to practice dovetails, too. Well done!

Hi Mike -

Here's one you may be interested in.... my son just made one of these for granddaughter #1. It's a hack of an Ikea stool - but would be straightforward to make from scratch.

Learning Tower

Kids love it!

Cheers -

Rob

OSHA would be proud of that learning tower than Rob Lee posted - guard rails and all.
