Waterlox over D.O. - angelosart - 06-22-2019 Anyone tried to put Waterlox over Danish Oil with success? RE: Waterlox over D.O. - Willyou - 06-23-2019 I've put poly on over DO with no problem. Should be no issues so long as you let the DO cure for 2-3 days. RE: Waterlox over D.O. - Wipedout - 06-23-2019 Haven't tried it but I've put it over antique oil I guess I would ask why RE: Waterlox over D.O. - fredhargis - 06-24-2019 I agree with both of the above. If the danish oil is somewhat cured, there's no problems with adhesion. But as asked: why? I suppose you might want the darker color of Waterlox, or the film strength it offers.....in which case there doesn't seem to be much reason to put danish oil under it. Besides, there is an unwritten rule about not putting a hard finish (Waterlox) over a softer one (danish oil). Though in this case that may not be much of a problem. |
