Mallets - RonB1957 - 08-25-2019

Just an FYI.
I am finishing up a small batch of resin infused mallets.
The approx. 2.375 x 2.25" x 5" hard maple heads are cut to weigh approx. 16.5 -17 ounces before drilling the tenon hole. Overall length of the mallet is approx. 9 inches. Overall weight of the mallet varies depending on handle wood. Currently the handles will be made of Hickory, Bubinga, Mahogany, infused curly maple, and zebra wood. They are reinforced with a steel rod all the way through and a cap nut on each end to prevent the mallet from coming apart should the epoxied tenon ever fail. These are not on my web site yet. Interested? Drop me an email.
