Yet another moxon :) - RonB1957 - 10-21-2019

Taking a cue from Derek, I decided to update my little moxon, using Tom's hardware. I was never happy with the height of the vise so I lowered it approx. 2". This seem to be much better for my preference. I then got rid of the shelf and added a hinging shelf and T track to it. Keep in mind I was using what ever scraps I had around. I am planning to make a better version, but for now this hack job will have to do. Like Derek I had an issue with the bronze bushings I substituted for the steel sleeves I originally had inserted. To tight. So I put mine back on the metal lathe and added several thousandths to the inside diameter and while I was at it decided to polish them up a bit. They could still use a little reaming.
Sad But it works. Sorry. No brass inlays. I will put polished bronze in my final version, providing I can source the bronze screws I need and muster up the time to do it.

Still contemplating the best way to make this thing tilt forward for half blinds.

Very Nice! If you are going to use a blond wood, may I suggest an ebony inlay instead of brass?
