RE: Out of round mortise's - Derek Cohen - 11-09-2019 I am late to this thread. We are woodworkers. We work with wood, and not epoxy, which may flex, crack, etc and not hold up. Drill out the unround mortice with a forstner but, and then glue in a filler piece. You may need to turn this to size. Now drill the correct size mortice. Its sort of a caulk so the joint needs to be pretty loose to start with so the adhesive can fill out. Work with gloves. Takes several days to cure properly. |
