Anybody Know what this is? - Dusty Workshop - 12-26-2019 Good morning! Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We recieved this as a gift from some friends in Florida. We are at a loss as to the intended use. Beard comb? Culinary cutting aid? Back scratcher? I have looked online but couldn't find anything. Has anyone ever seen this? Thanks! RE: Anybody Know what this is? - MsNomer - 12-26-2019 I’d guess culinary cutting aid, though I think a fudge would work better and be easier to clean. For holding corn on the cob RE: Anybody Know what this is? - Dusty Workshop - 12-26-2019 The base is 2" Dia. Height 2.75" without spikes Spikes are just short of 1" long. Way to big for a corn holder. I thought it could be to shred smoked meats but you would need 2. Any other thoughts? RE: Anybody Know what this is? - crokett™ - 12-26-2019 If yo u bake crackers you could use that to punch holes in the dough to let the steam out so that they don’t rise. RE: Anybody Know what this is? - greenacres2 - 12-26-2019 I'm guessing something to do with yarn making/combing fleece?? Just a guess!! earl RE: Anybody Know what this is? - MsNomer - 12-26-2019 Instead of asking us, why not ask the gifters? RE: Anybody Know what this is? - DaveR1 - 12-26-2019 "What can send to Dusty as a Christmas present? The guy has everything!" "I know. I have this extra cherry knob and these pointy dowels. I'll put them together and finish it nice. Ought to keep him guessing for awhile." "Excellent idea! I'll get a box." We never have found out what one of the wedding presents was. The gifter just smiled and refused to tell me. To the OP: other than woodworking, what hobbies do you have that the gifter would know about? the ideas so far that seem to make sense to me: meat tenderizer raw wool comb cracker vent tool curry comb for pets tool for piercing jello for spiking |
