Jurassic park cane - Woodshop - 01-19-2020

I made 3 of the Hammond's amber Cane  for Christmas gifts 2019
Casting a crane fly is Not as easy as it looked, getting it in the cast at the right time is critical or they will float
Upset  thanks to Peter Brown for the heads up
Laugh
I still needed to figure it out for my resin and temperature

But I finally figured it out

I used a dear antler to match the color I was after on the cane , paint and several different stains. The cane would not fit in my photo tent so I improvised on a cloudy day
Yes
They were a big hit and lots of fun

Ummm, did you happen to notice there's a bug in your amber casting? Sheesh, and I thought I needed glasses...
