Bit storage on a North Brothers (pre-stanley) No. 41....

Using a dog hole to hold this thing up right....it's the one in the back of these, without a tip

A few had been in the handle a bit too long?    Needed to clean a couple up...

The Millers Falls No. 188A has one tip in the chuck, and at least one in the handle, right now....same with the No. 100...as they use the same bits.
