And, being in a cold environment, it will/should run less.

The same goes for Lowes/Home Depot.

Both are about 2 miles from my house (Lowes is only a few hundred yards if I had a helicopter), so I  never did any "planning", I would just run by and pick up what I needed. 

Now I am planning my purchases to limit the number of trips.  A pain in the butt.  Harbor Freight is 6 miles from my house so I am a little more careful (but it is just across the street from Starbucks so I would have a cup of coffee and then run into H-F.  But Starbucks is take-out only so that means planning for H-F too,.

          I bought a case of the hotdogs and buns that sams sells in the Cafe as they are good affordable and frozen. Loaded up the fridge and converted my mini fridge in the shop to a freezer. Also got a case of the pretzels. Let them thaw out tear in half and put in the toaster and they come out very good. Also gave some to my neighbors and parents as they needed stuff to get by on until stocks came back up. 


          My mini fridge had it's thermostat die and the replacement has a wider range of adjustment. So I just set it to full cold and the fridge side is now a freezer.  What you can do is pull the temp sensing bulb away from the coil just a hare and that will cause the fridge to run cooler with no permanent mods or adjustments.  

          We have enough stuff to take us an easy 2 months. We made a trip to Sams and got a few things yesterday. Inventory is coming back in. Paper products were not an issue nor beef or pork. In fact the beef was very good with the short ribs being cut much thicker now. Chicken was a no go. I only plan on going out for milk and bread as needed or delivery's to my parents.
