Shellac over Arm R Seal? - LongLook - 04-11-2020

I didn't want to hijack Semper Fi Mac's post on shellac but I also had a brain f*** and used Arm R Seal on the inside of a box I'm building although I intended to use shellac on the inside like I normally do.  Given the answers in the other thread, I'm assuming that I can do so but just want the benefit of the experts before screwing up a perfectly good box.  I normally use shellac on all interior surfaces of pieces I build just to avoid any residual odor from oil based finishes but of course this time my brain forgot to use its common sense.

Thanks in advance.

Why not just let the Arm-R-Seal cure and be done?

Generally it's not recommended you put a harder finish (shellac) over a softer one (ARS). But for what you're doing it will work fine. You might want to get dewaxed shellac to seal it, to avoid any adhesion issues with the urethane.
