Amazon Fire Stick Help - Halfathumb - 05-21-2020

Does anyone know where I can help with Amazon Fire Stick? I was having problems with my old one so I bought the 4k. I can't get the remote to communicate with the stick

There is a lot of video's on utube on the Firestick. Just as a thought (a long shot), but check and make sure the batteries are in correctly.

I've watched many you tube videos on the subject but can't get any real help. I thought maybe someone here has better insight.

We have been looking at getting a Fire Stick now that we have upgraded our rural internet connection; I've never had streaming TV before so I foolishly went onto the Amazon web site looking for technical how-to information on the Fire Stick.  Found very little useful information.

You could contact amazon customer service.  A little hard to find. At the bottom right of each page there  is a help.  On the  next page at the bottom left is Need more  help , then on the right side there is Contact us. Unfortunately in these covid 19 times only chat help is available.

I imagine you went to this page first https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_device_cat_Fire_TV?nodeId=GHH5TUHA7677G4HJ

You can also go here for help and chat support.https://myfirestick.com/

As someone else mentioned, are you sure the batteries are in correctly?  IIRC, getting the cover off is a real pain.

Might be the best answer. They should be simple.

A lot of company's  have done away with phone support (Amazon and ebay) due to wanting to increase their bottom line, ops I meant Covid 19. Its ashamed that these internet based company's don't have the technology available to them to have support work from home! Maybe they could look online for someone that sold laptops.

Last week I went to Walmart to pick something up that showed in stock online. They didn't have it, when I asked why it showed in stock I was told they didn't  have enough employees to update what had sold due to covid 19. I looked at her and said your telling me  the millions of items Walmart sells each hour that they do this manually instead of using the software on the scanners to update it?
