Removing quarter rounds - MT Woodworker - 06-07-2021

Been removing quarter rounds to remove old glass on a cabinet my wife got from family.
Got the doors off, fun with painted screws.

A nice tool to remove these quarter rounds is a skin wedge, used in aviation a lot.
If you have never used one, they are a great tool to have.

Never heard of it. I Googled it and it sure likes like a tool that I need. Thanks for the suggestion.

I got this blade for my oscillating multi-tool from DeWalt (via Amazon.com).  I used it to remove hardened caulk around some windows I was painting.  It worked great.

It would be the first thing I grabbed to cut through the paint and then I would use a rigid 3 in 1 tool to pry it out.

Hive tools that I started using in 1981 were simply "painters pry bars" sold as hive tools.   They have some different shapes now. but the old ones work fine and are still sold as that.  https://www.amazon.com/KINGLAKE-Scraping-Lifter-Scraper-Beekeepers/dp/B01CCUX5SE/ref=asc_df_B01CCUX5SE/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=193142362025&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4387078744541106904&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9015602&hvtargid=pla-373204053277&psc=1  https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Tools-17005-Stainless-Scraper/dp/B000OECQOK/ref=asc_df_B000OECQOK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309763890402&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4387078744541106904&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9015602&hvtargid=pla-387317963452&psc=1

Reminds me of the HF tools for removing upholstery and auto trim and moldings, etc...

I have a couple of small flat pry bars I use in addition to some stiff putty knives. I really appreciate all the tools mentioned in this thread and the links to them - they look very useful!

Thanks,

Doug
