Mice Traps - Suggestions? - varkpilot - 07-05-2021 "Minor" infestation! Got one via old-fashion spring trap. AMAZON has a countless list. What has worked for you?? Should I plan for outside & inside? (He placed a few when he was here) We don't even fold them into a tent, just lay them flat. Mice like corners between walls and floors. That's where we put them. I used a 13 gallon tall kitchen plastic trash can with water and automotive anti-freeze coolant. Peanut butter for bait. If you are not checking it often you can add salt or a toilet bowl bleach cleaning tablet to try to control the decay/bacteria. Not suitable for living spaces. I couldn't find the ones I bought, but most of them will be good. The Victor line has always been around and I've used their plastic traps in the past, they also worked very well. I think (but can't confirm) the last ones I bought were the "Jawz" brand. Been using them for years. Link The traditional snap traps did not work well for me. They were easily "robbed" by the mice.
