Strange looking square - bandit571 - 07-06-2021 While digging out all the scraps to be used for the current project...came upon this "gem" [attachment=36242] Hmmm, measures out to ~ 7-1/2"....slots are every 1/4", out to 5-1/2" Doubt IF there had ever been any wood on the handle.   Nor did I find any logo to tell whom made this.. RE: Strange looking square - bandit571 - 07-09-2021 this one seems to be a little better made version... One could hold a marking knife in a slot.....to mark a line a set distance from an edge.   Maybe then use that line to rip a board to width....like IF you wanted a board 4-1/2"  wide, from a 1 x 12?   Hole in the handle can be for a better grip...
