Using Dial Calipers in the Wood Shop

Fine joinery requires tight fits and accurate cutting and more often than not, you are working in tolerances of a few thousandths of an inch. Many woodworkers get by on feel and intuition etc. However, for the rest of us, we use tools that help us measure to these accuracies. The dial (or digital) caliper is one such tool that not only measures, but is also a GREAT layout tool.

Is it worth it to upgrade CNC with Closed Loop Steppers?
After 6 months of use, was this update worth it? In Sept. 2022, I upgraded my CNC router with closed loop stepper motors and drives. This video answers the question "Was it worth it".
