Mantis Tiller Repair - wjt - 08-04-2021
The carrying handle on my Mantis Tiller broke. I thought it was because I hang the tiller from the ceiling of my storage shed but it appears to be a common failure as a brief Google search finds examples.
Rather than purchase the replacement part which would break again I made one from 1/2" thick pine sandwiched between 1/4" Masonite. A simple upgrade that will probably outlast the machine.

Good fix. I have the same issue on mine; now I need to get motivated to fix it!

I have the Mantis (~20 years now) and like it...Have not had the handle fail, but I have not hung it from a single hook...
I like your fix...
