Motorized windows - MstrCarpenter - 03-19-2022 I recall a thread about motorized windows a while back; search didn't find it. A friend asked about this for a woman with arthritis, for whom operating a casement or even a double-hung would be challenging. Remote control would nice, but I think they should also have a hardwired switch and an override for when the power goes out during a sudden storm. I do not recall seeing operators except on skylights, so any additional information and or experience is helpful. Looks like the prices range from "That's not too bad' to well over doubling the cost of a casement window. They'll need some for existing casements too, so that means a lot more homework for me. RE: Motorized windows - Snipe Hunter - 03-20-2022 Hope you find what you need. |
