Need some of this - Gregor1 - 05-02-2022 In am working on some small keepsake boxes for my grand kids for Christmas. I am looking for something like this [attachment=42005] RE: Need some of this - stav - 05-02-2022 I haven't seen those things on a car in ages. Not sure you can buy them new anymore. Maybe a junk yard if you are open to recycled parts. Otherwise, could a narrow detail broom do it for you as a sub? Auto dust brush RE: Need some of this - DieselDennis - 05-02-2022 I'd probably start with something called conveyor brush. It's hit & miss at Amazon, but McMaster has plenty of it. May not be an exact replacement, but it's pretty close. I didn't find quite what I need, but at least now I know what I am looking for. RE: Need some of this - bottd - 05-02-2022 (05-02-2022, 04:23 PM)Gregor1 Wrote: Thanks for the responses. These are available for routing cables out of a wall to a device, not sure if it would do you any good...just showing a possibility. RE: Need some of this - KyleD - 05-03-2022 I have used the brush in an aluminum extrusion sold for weather-stripping the bottom of doors for keeping metal chips out of a DRO on a metal mill. I shortened the brush length a little and it is working great after a number of years. The brush part of the strip is the bristles held together with a very small metal strip that then slides into the extrusion. You may be able to use this brush part without the rest of the extrusion by glueing it into a kerf in the wood.. RE: Need some of this - Hank Knight - 05-05-2022 Do a Google search for "linear brush" or "vacuum brush". Youll come up with a number of different configurations and options. I think you can order from Amazon. RE: Need some of this - Sierramtns - 05-25-2022 (05-02-2022, 06:59 AM)Gregor1 Wrote: In am working on some small keepsake boxes for my grand kids for Christmas. Just some strips of aluminum coil stock, bent over the fuzzy half of a velcro strip. Doesn't have bristles like a broom, but it'll work. |
