Never Had This Happen Before: Bearing Failure - Philip1231 - 10-24-2022 Routing a rabbet on the inside edge of a picture frame: taking an 1/8" bite at a depth of 1/4" in cherry: not asking too much of the router or bit. I then start noticing a strange color appearing on the beautiful cherry? What could this be? How about the rabbet bit bearing lost one of its shields and starting spraying the work with bearing grease. I was able to recover, but come on, that is not supposed to happen.
