Barn for Sale - MstrCarpenter - 03-20-2025

This is a duplicate of a thread in woodworking;
Hey friends, I'm looking for suggestions on where to post (advertise) a post and beam barn that has to be removed from the property. I know it can just be ripped down and thrown in dumpsters, but it seems a shame to do that. It may be more cost effective to give it away, assuming the recipient takes it all. I can have someone list it on Craigs list and Marketplace but is there anywhere more appropriate? It's in southeastern NH.

So a dismantled post and beam barn is just used lumber. Is there something special about the lumber? Would it have value as "Barn Wood"? used for decorating? Reclaimed rustic barn wood has value but it also has to be removed, treated and cut to length which all has costs associated with it. There are barn-wood resellers around the country. Might contact one of them.

If the bents are in good condition, they can be used to rebuild the barn somewhere else or as the main structure for a new building (often, a house).
This is what Luke Larson, Kevin Durkin and others specialize in.
Taking an old post and beam barn apart and building a new home from it elsewhere can be quite nice albeit expensive.
If the siding is in good condition, all the better.
