Sink Drain plumbing - Maddog - 03-22-2025

Does anyone use any kind of sealant/adhesive  on plastic drain plumbing fittings under the sink?
Have one particular fitting that comes apart and wonder if that could be a solution.
I know it typically isn't necessary but looking for a solution.
Thanks

Seems like if you put an adhesive on it and needed to disassemble it later it would be a headache. Those drrain assemblies aren't that expensive, you don't want tp just replace it?

Is one piece such as the tail piece from the sink too short ?    Like Fred said get a new kit or at least the part that is too short.  Roly

Cost isn’t the problem.
It’s a double sink and the T I’m using to connect the 2 drains together doesn’t allow much engagement on the vertical leg and can easily comes out if It gets josheled
Thanks for the reply!

Go to a real plumbing supply house and get the correct parts

I’ve used a bit of silicone in the past.
