Without knowing the shade of the wood I would consider chakta viga or pink ivory. Or, if the koa is on the darker side maybe cherry for the feature ring. |

I thnk it would really depend on the designs of the feature rings. I wouldn't use holly next to koa because of the density difference and the possibility of the sanding dust from the koa staining the ... |

Their is no rule but. there is someconsideration that needs to be done in the design process, The alignment on a feature ring usually looks better if you keep the number of feature ring segments cores... |
